pretty cool. I guess we're slightly ahead of the game!

Seedling Rodeo!

Hey All - Sarah and I spent this Saturday morning potting plants with the Herring Run Watershed Association. check out their web site:
http://herringrun.org/

Their calendar contains a tree planting @ Double Rock Park (on Hiss Ave! in keeping with our subversive theme) on April 18th that could be a good recon mission for us.

In the meanwhile, check out the picks from this weekend's potting fest:

Spring into action?

OK, Hedgies, who is up for some spring planting?

I'm wondering where I can get a whole slew of seedlings that we can head out and use for some "guerilla gardening" one evening in early April. Anyone know a good spot to pick up some young trees for not a whole lot of green?

Video

Seedy parts of town

Well - it happened. We got together and planted some seeds in parts of town that looked like they really needed it. Mostly on the east side of Canton but also down in Locust point. We aimed for abandoned looking places that are heavily travelled. I'm going to try to attach some video here - shot by Chris W. of me and KG bombing the bombs. Check it out:

Hedgebollah: 1, City: 0

Hey everyone,

Amy planted a tree right in her very own back yard this weekend. Please join me in congratulating her. I feel all warm and leafy!

Amy, please get us a pic for the blog!

Seed bombs

This is what our finished seed bombs looked like immediately after making. They are now dry and ready to deliver to drop zones.

Please leave comments about places that look eligible and whether or not October 1 at 6:30pm will work. I'm proposing that time nearly randomly. Of course suggestions are welcome and encouraged. We'll go with whatever the group elects to do.
